Whitsunday Online Bookings

Whitsunday Accommodation & Tourism campaign launched

While booking numbers at WhitsundayApartments.com.au by Australian guests have remained fairly consistent, The past 18 months figures show a decline in International visitors to the Airlie Beach and Whitsunday region overall, with reports from some Whitsunday tourism operators that booking numbers are reaching an all time low.

While these figures cannot be confirmed, this may be due to a couple of reasons, including the global economic climate, and also possibly a lack of fresh marketing campaigns from the Australian and Whitsunday tourism industry targeting the correct audience.

Whitsunday Apartments have teamed up with a new Queensland-based tourism and marketing company to work on a series of international online marketing campaigns to attract new visitors to the Whitsundays, as well as remind previous visitors how good the Whitsundays region really is.

The new 'It's all Here' campaign by Whitsunday Apartments aims to boost interest to the Whitsunday region to the 25 - 40 age group, introducing them to the beauty, and relaxed way of life in the Whitsundays region.

But rather than just showing them the nice beaches and lazing by the pool, the new campaign raises awareness to how much there really is to do while visiting the Whitsundays.

Recent international online research for the Whitsundays and Airlie Beach shows a lack of awareness in this area, with most visitors only really acknowledging Hayman Island and Hamilton Island as places of interest. The new campaign hopes to change this persective of the Whitsundays.

The Whitsunday Apartments marketing campaign was fully self-funded by Whitsunday Apartments parent company, Australian Holiday Resorts and is in no way currently being promoted in conjunction with any other tourism group based in Australia.

A percentage of all profits made from accommodation booked on WhitsundayApartments.com.au is donated back to local Whitsunday community charity and sporting groups.

The first stage of the Whitsundays campaign launches internationally tomorrow (Monday 12th April) and will launch locally in Australia in the coming months.
